CASUAL VACANCY FOR A COUNCILLOR IN ST JOSEPH’S WARD

There is currently a vacancy for a Town Councillor in St Joseph’s Ward which will be filled by co-option at the Council meeting on 15 May 2024.

We want to find an active, enthusiastic, and committed person with an interest in local matters to fill this vacancy and become part of the team.

Being a Councillor is a rewarding experience as you will help shape the future of Malvern and plan for the services it needs.

YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU!

You do not need any formal qualifications or experience, but you do need to be:

  • a British or commonwealth citizen
  • at least 18 years old
  • registered to vote in the area or have lived, worked, or owned property there for at least twelve months before an election

You can really make a difference to our community by giving a few hours of your time each month.

What does the Town Council do?

The Town Council works hard to make life enjoyable for the people of Malvern by the maintenance and upkeep of parks and play areas, sports pitches, allotment sites, gas lamps, bins, bus shelters and benches. It also puts on events such as Bands in the Park, Remembrance, the Christmas Festival and fundraises for the Mayor’s charity.

But that’s not all! The Town Council represents the views of the residents of Malvern on issues such as planning, highways and environmental issues, and invests in new projects for the good of the area.

Apply by 12 noon, on Tuesday 7 May 2024
